T’ai Chi is a centuries old martial art that relies on the practice of “letting go” of tension, and focusing your attention. It can be learned by almost anyone and done anywhere. It is a way to learn to practice economy, efficiency and calmness.

T'ai Chi College of Santa Barbara teaches 3 group classes a week. On Saturday mornings there is a class outside at La Mesa Park near Lazy Acres. On Monday and Wednesday evenings there are group classes at the Buddhist Temple on Monticeto St. Beginners are always welcome at group classes. Instructor David Barton will also teach private and semiprivate classes upon request.
